In compliance with The Talossan Government Transparency Act (39RZ16), the Seneschal publishes the following report concerning the activities of the ministries of government:

MINISTRY OFFICER REPORT

Prime Ministry

Most of August was spent preparing the budget, organising the Cabinet, and cracking the whip some. Additionally, effort was expended assisting in various ministries, especially Home Affairs with the TalossaFest effort, and Immigration with replying to inquiries and prospective-citizen questions, and in administering the forums side of the Immigration process. Other efforts focused on adding to the Wiki, especially in joining with the Ministry of Justice in its efforts to assist the Scribery with its work on Wikifying the Digest of Laws and all Clark records.

Preparing material to be used in Project Callback (attempt to contact former citizens and prospectives who have faded away from Talossan life).
Róibeard Laira,

The BEER continues to work on the nation's space program, improving and testing the Laramie Rose. Test firings continue and a schedule for the first sub-orbital flight will be announced at some point, but has not yet been established.

The Ladintsch Naziunal has been involved in assignment of a number of Talossan language names for new citizens and reports that he believes the Committee for the Use of the Language are well on the way to determining upon an Arestada that users of both the Traditional and Reformed styles of Talossan writing can agree upon as describing the language from A to Þ.
Dien Tresplet,
Joshua
A national poker tournament is currently being run by the Wargames Bureau. The Bureau is also preparing to begin the 2012 Fantasy (American) Football League, and is monitoring the progress of the Diplomacy and Chess tournaments.  Further, the bureau is investigating the creation of one or more Talossa-themed games to introduce to the nation.

Defence
Bradley Holmes,
Minister
The Ministry of Defense continues its study of Command and Control as well as studying and preparing for additional aviation qualifications and certifications. Next month will see the start of a study on Theater Strategic Decision Making and Information Systems.
Mick Preston,
Zouaves
In covert news, the military has recently repelled several smaller would-be zombie attacks. These skirmishes appear unrelated and pretty much brain-dead - like the zombies didn't appear to have any strategy. Otherwise, the Zouaves are busy growing their moustaches and drilling with bedposts.
Tímoþi Asmourescu,
Navy
The Navy is currently dry-docked.
Primary Intelligence Group The PIG has been doing a great job and protecting the public from alarming news, especially as regards the potential zombie attacks that have been successfully avoided.

Finance
Istefan Perþonest,
Minister
Wrote the budget bill, including comparative research regarding all expenditures listed in same.
Ian da Bitour,
Royal Bank & Post
The RB&P is preparing for the effort of issuing stamps and currency once the budget for doing so has been approved.
X. Pol Briga,
Treasury Reserve Board
The RTRB has been extremely busy evaluating different bullions of the national currency, in case anyone ever needs to know the value of, say, Guinness or Fat Tire, compared to the national standard of Miller Genuine Draft.
Foreign Affairs Eldsfäts Blasiüs,
Minister
The Ministry has been involved in planning the budget act, and is currently preparing to reopen contact to the governments of Juneau, Alaska and the Sac-Fox Nation.
Ambassadors and Consuls Apart from Baron Fritz's Consul-Generalship, the Ministry does not see fit to appoint ambassadors-general nor other consuls at this time. However, the Ministry is also hopeful that citizens around the world will encourage bars and pubs to contact the Ministry to register themselves as Consuls of the Kingdom (responsible for exchanging local currency for Talossan currency), so that plaques can be created and provided to those establishments using authorised public or private funds. Any citizen responsible for such a registration will be considered for an ambassadorial post.

Home Affairs
Danihel Meriula,
Minister
The Ministry has been very active in planning TalossaFest, to be held 8 September, and also in coordinating the activities of the events around the globe.
Scott Tucker,
Cestour Affairs
The Bureau of Cestour Affairs has been involved in planning TalossaFest, and will serve as co-host of the event.
Glüc da Dhi,
Provincial Affairs
The Bureau of Provincial Affairs is still being organised and makes no report at this time.

Immigration
Davíu Lundescu,
Minister
The Ministry of Immigration is currently working on getting Prospective Citizens in and trying to raise activity levels from prospectives to decrease drop-outs due to inactivity. We are also trying to raise activity in the NCC to be able to assist more prospectives.
Audradâ d'Aurìbuérg,
New Citizens Committee
The NCC has been involved in assigning TALOSSAssistants, and plans to continue its efforts to create an educational, entertaining, and informative activity pack to be given to all prospective immigrants.

Justice
Béneditsch Ardpresteir,
Attorney-General
The Ministry of Justice is presently involved in Project 'LEGALICS' - Assisting the Scribe in getting the Laws into the Wiki, and work with Sir Cresti, and the Sandman to complete the project in a proper way.

Stuff
Stéafan d'Unmortadel,
Minister
The MinStuff is recovering from surgery right now but has been starting plans for an integrated online system to augment the wiki along with several other initiatives:
  1. migrate everything to Talossa.com
  2. create an initiative to highlight and promote Talossan culture, art and social interaction. See 4, below.
  3. foster outreach and raise the profile of Talossa through local community involvement and social empowerment in our local communities.
  4. create a tourism council, calling attention to and promoting the works and culture of talossans everywhere, by province and as a whole. This includes podcasts, tourism videos and a variety of tangible and digital media, ultimately raising the profile of Talossa, generating revenue for the coffers and providing a model for both private and public corporations chartered under the banner of the kingdom.
Danihel Teziun,
SPAM Chief
The SPAM Bureau is busy with the technical portions of the projects of the Ministry of Stuff listed above, and plans to be instrumental in the changeover from kingdomoftalossa.net to the set of Websites being established at the talossa.com domain.
